Hello! My name is Sean and I have the honour and privilege of running the youth ministry and working alongside an amazing group of equipped and passionate youth leaders at EC Youth.
We are an enthusiastic bunch who are super keen to see young people thriving in all the plans and purposes that God has for them! We would love to see them connecting with one another, growing in confidence within their own character, having fun and establishing a powerful and rich relationship with God – We desire to do this through our exciting and dynamic Friday night youth gatherings, but also through personal relationship! We aren’t interested in numbers just for the sake of it, we care about each individual, and want to make every relationship count!

The atmosphere at EC Youth is that of excitement, fun, comfort, safety and relaxation. We want all who attend to feel comfortable, appreciated and loved.

Our core values at EC Youth are in alignment with the principles God shows to be holy in the Bible. We desire to display love, respect, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, humility, peace and joy. As a leadership team, these values are rated incredibly high, and so we desire to lead by example, and set the tone for those in our care.
Culture

The culture of the EC Youth leadership group is one that seeks to glorify God in all facets of life, with the effect of that making its way through to the youth. This means, we want to love others with a Christ-centred love – that is, looking at each individual as special in God’s eyes and caring deeply for the now as well as their future. All those who attend EC Youth are accepted for who God has uniquely created each one to be.
We have a wide range of personalities within EC Youth, yet we all accept and love one another, and each person is given the space to contribute without having to change what is so special and beautiful about themself. Whether you are outgoing or shy, a big talker or not, sporty or creative, there is a place for you at EC Youth to attend and feel at home!

Our vision is to see the youth connected to Jesus and growing in a rich relationship with Him, whilst having heaps of fun along the journey! We don’t look for perfection, because that’s just not possible, but we do seek ongoing teachability and humble hearts to follow the character of Jesus. This goes for our leadership team as well! We envision EC Youth as a place of community connection, joyful bonding and Christ-honouring behaviour.

Each week we play heaps of fun games, enjoy bucket loads of yummy food and we discuss the Bible together! Amongst all that, the kids will make amazing friends which we hope will last a lifetime!
