Good afternoon all,

Comfort and hope in the midst of the trials of life is a powerful thing. Sometimes life in this broken world comes up upon us like a tidal surge breaking its banks. One layer of challenge upon another just seems to keep rising higher and higher until we nearly feel like the tidal surge is over our heads, we’re overwhelmed. It’s in these times that we need deep and strong comfort and hope.

Psalm 43:5 (ESV) — 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

God is our everlasting comfort and hope. God knows our frame and He knows exactly how to comfort us when life comes crushing upon us. How? In Jesus, we can truly know Him as our God and our salvation, and when we know Him as that, the Holy Spirit brings deep comfort and hope through His abiding presence within us.
