Good afternoon friends,
Our minds are constantly being influenced by a whole range of voices. Social media, online news apps, newspapers, magazines, books, friends, and many other sources of information, are all voices that are influencing and shaping the way we think, speak, and act. The Bible recognises this and commands us to take charge of our minds to be primarily influenced by the truth of the Bible.
Romans 12:2 (ESV) — 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
We are equipped by the Lord to not be squeezed into the world’s mould of thinking. Instead, we are to be transformed by God’s word through the renewal of our thinking. Right thinking produces right living, right thinking helps to produce right relationships shaped by the gospel.
